We welcome you to join us as we ride in commemoration of DeKalb County's Cherokee Indian Heritage and all Indian Nations who were forced to walk on the Infamous Trail of Tears. The DeKalb County Tourist Association in Fort Payne, will serve as the congregating location for bikers in their preparation to depart on the 7th Annual John Benge Commemorative Ride Saturday at 7 a.m. The ride is strictly voluntary and you Ride at Your Own Risk. The John Benge Ride is in remembrance of those who walked this trail and brings awareness to this tragedy.

This class covers rappelling basics indoor and basics outdoor. The basics indoor class teaches you about rappelling safety/rappelling gear and its application, rappelling knots and application, and rigging points needed for rappelling. The basics outdoor class reviews safety procedures, knots, gear, and rigging points; then you learn how to safely rappel and do several rappels before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam.
Total indoor and outdoor cost $145 per person.

September 18 2nd Annual Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament |

The Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce and the City of Fort Payne will host this Boom Days Event. It will be a 4 man scramble held at Terrapin Hills Golf and Country Club with a 9:00 a.m. shot gun start. Over $1500 in cash prizes to be given away. All proceeds will go to the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce.

This class is designed for those who really just want see what molten glass is all about. Feel the heat, gather from the furnace, sculpt the glass into you own design. It is ultimately about the experience, some experimentation and a couple nice paperweights to take home or to the office to show your friends. Class size at the largest will be five students so everyone has adequate time at the bench working. There will be material provided before the class for you to review and become familiar with concerning safety and basic glassblowing vocabulary. Please join us for some in-depth discovery.
